PERSONALISED LESSONS
As it’s often easier and more enjoyable for students to learn songs, solos and riffs by their favourite artists, many of the lessons I give are specifically tailored to reflect each student’s taste in music. Chord sheets and tablature sheets are created by myself to meet each individual student’s specific needs and taste, focussing heavily on developing technique and musical theory within a realistic learning curve. In addition, students are provided with audio tracks which they practice along to outside of the lessons.
TRINITY COLLEGE SYLLABUS WITH GRADED EXAMS
If a student wants to follow the more traditional route of taking grades, I teach the Trinity College Rock and Pop syllabus, which offers 8 grades of music performance examinations, equivalent to ABRSM grades. Trinity College London is one of the world’s biggest music exam boards and their syllabus is a fun and highly enjoyable way of gaining qualifications, whilst learning a range of famous songs in contemporary styles.
